So my weight is doing what I said it would...lots of up and downs over the past week...most likely due to the consumption of carbs. I am trying really hard to stop sneaking one of my daughter's french fries or bite of her cookie. I knew it would happen...but it is still sucks. I hate that it is so time delayed. I have been on plan this week...so I am sure I will see it in the numbers for next week. But it is so hard to mentally realize that eating something bad will not show immediate effects. And the there is not any instant gratification with eating well/being active either. In fact part of the gain is probably also because I have been more diligent about my water consumption. So a healthy behavior that will increase my water weight. In the long run I know it's better...but the scale tells a different story. Yesterday I had my chocolate shake with tea, a pomegranate green tea, the cinnimon cereal with almond milk, spinach salad with snap peas, broccoli slaw, and Yogurt ho

Hello fellow health nuts!! LOL J/K! I am far from a health nut! More like just a nut nut! I feel bad for being MIA most of the summer. But I tell you what...I completely agree with moving being in the top 5 of the most stressful things that can happen in a person's life. And we are sooooo close I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Five boxes left to unpack...closing on the old house this week...starting to get into a normal routine. My weight also shows the inconsistencies. Though I have stayed "on plan" about 99% of the time...The lack of water and the occasional sneak of a bite of something carb filled....has left my pretty little weight loss line a little jagged lately. Down 3 lbs, up 2 lbs, down 0.4 lbs, up 1.1lbs...I need to get back to it. And the heat wave has taken a slight break so I should be getting outside and exercising. The entire month of July has been disappointing. While every other month I have averaged about a 10lb loss...This month (with

Been M.I.A. AGAIN... But we had a LOT going on...including a move. Which happened yesterday. I will admit to keep my energy up for the packing and moving, I may have indulged in a bit more carbs than I should have. At lunch yesterday, I had half a single serving bag of baked chips. The day before I had a monster cookie. I snagged a couple fries from my Mom's plate on Saturday and Monday night dinners. I do feel guilty...but I also feel that I easily burned that all off in my 4 days of almost constant physical activity and sweat....lots and lots of sweat. Been in the high 90s/low 100s with very high humidity during the move days. I did jump on the scale this morning for the first time in almost a week...and as predicted from my dramatic weight loss from 2 weeks ago...the scale has tipped in the other direction. I think now that I am staying hydrated and cheating with those few carbs...I am getting back to what should have been a "normal" decent. I just hope that after t

Stayed home this day due to my stomach bug. Was not a pleasant day. I had one shake, one bowl of Profile Cereal with almond milk, some cheese, some celery with PBP PB, a bar and a cup of miso soup. On the bright side final negotiations for the sale of our house are now complete!! Just waiting for my realtor's assistant to load them online to be e-signed. Also while I was out of the office, my standing desk was installed. I am standing at it now. I think I will need to ease myself into this so I don't cause myself knee and back issues. It's no treadmill desk, (HG), but it's the best I can do at this job. I have been standing now for the last 45 mins and needed to sit down while I chatted with a coworker. I am thinking about starting out doing 1 hour intervals until I can work my way up. Weight is down again today...which is awesome...but I have also ate very little and had "other" issues that contributed...please remind me of this statement if my

So I forgot to mention yesterday that on our trip I did a Zip Line in the Black Hills! Exhilarating, most fun thing I have done in a super long time! I can't wait to do it again! And I think the weight loss made it more enjoyable. The straps holding me in did not hurt due to so much excess weight. I didn't feel embarrassed or concerned that I was so near the weight limit...It was awesome! Next item...and I am hoping to hear from others... What do you do about staying on plan when you get sick...and not just cold or allergies...but stomach issues? You know this issues that would have at one time kept you on a diet of dry toast and MAYBE if you are lucky oatmeal/bananas/plain rice. I am sick this week with terrible "lower" tummy issues and the taste and idea of a shake or vegetables makes my stomach turn. My hubby made me some miso soup last night. But my shake tasted awful this morning. Meals: Shake with tea Profile Cereal with Almond Milk Cucumbers, Carrots

Wow...that took a long time to figure out what day I am on. I have been MIA for weeks now.  Buying and Selling of a new home and a 9 day trip to the Black Hills have kept me away....but I have still been able to stay on track with my weight loss through it all. I really thought that the trip was going to throw me off track. But the only change I made was on a few occasions I did have a Protein/Veggie meal twice a day for lunch and dinner...instead of the normal veggie/meal replacement I would normally have for lunch. Challenges: The ability to bring shakes and veggies with me at lunch during trip...the ability to maintain my water consumption...the ability to say no to some of my favorite foods while on our extended trip. Ease of use while traveling: Though there were times that my restrictions were difficult to maintain...there were times when my plan was much easier to make and deal with than preparing a whole spread of food for our travel companions. We were 4 adults (2 of us
